Every year, Fair Farms likes to promote the available Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs from our farmer partners. When you purchase a subscription, or share, you receive a regularly scheduled box of local produce, products, or meat – depending on the box and farm you choose. Many of our Fair Farms partners offer fall/winter CSA shares in addition to spring/summer shares. Keep an eye out for information about later season CSAs to make sure you sign up in time. Read the list below and consider signing up for a CSA near you! This is not an exhaustive list- there are other CSA options if none of these suit your needs.

Strength to Love II – Baltimore, MD
Pickup locations: S2L2 Farm Thursday & Friday 10-4; delivery to Baltimore City zip codes for an additional $10
Purchase $25 shares on a weekly basis that will include 5-10 freshly harvested in-season items. You will be updated on the website, via mailing list, and social media outlets a week prior regarding the items that the upcoming week’s CSA share should contain and the pricing. All CSA orders must be placed by Tuesday for pick up or delivery later that week.
Good Dog Farm – Parkton, MD
Pickup locations: Good Dog Farm, 12 sites throughout Maryland, or Mt. Rainier D.C.
Time: 2022 Main Season Vegetable May 22nd-November 19th
2022 December Share November 27th-December 17th
2023 Winter January 1st-March 25th
Customizable box with the option for weekly or biweekly pickup. Offers a flexible payment schedule and the possibility of using SNAP benefits. You can add eggs, fruit, bread, and/or flowers to your order from other local farms. Winter share sign ups are now open.
Calvert Farm – Cecil County, MD
Pickup locations: Many sites throughout MD, DE, and PA- here is a list.
Time: REGISTRATION CLOSED Summer CSA May-September
Fall CSA October-November; reservations due August 31st
Winter CSA January-mid April; deposit due November 7th
Registration is open for the 8-week fall CSA and the 16-week winter CSA. Growing conditions in the winter are unpredictable so early sign-up is necessary. Pick up locations are limited in the winter.
Even’ Star Farm – St. Mary’s County, MD
Pickup locations: 14 sites throughout Maryland
Time: July-September
Even’ Star offers two versions of their 12-week CSA: a regular share or a ⅗ share if you don’t think you’ll use a full box. Common goodies you’ll receive: tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs, blackberries, sweet potatoes, peppers, cantaloupes, watermelon, okra, onions, and more. Option to add eggs.
Fox Haven Farm – Jefferson, MD
Pickup locations: Fox Haven Farm in Frederick, Larder in Baltimore, Vital Traditions in College Park
Time: April-October
CSA IS FULL, but you can use the link to join the waitlist. Herb only CSA- perfect for the herb connoisseur AND the beginner looking to improve their cooking game. Fox Haven offers two versions of their CSA: one that includes a 1.5 hour hands-on class each month and one without formal instruction. Before pick up, you’ll receive an e-newsletter outlining which herbs you will receive, tips about how to use them, and possible recipes. Explore their website for other class options.
Floating Lotus Farmstead – Lothian, MD
Pickup locations: Hopscratch Farm Harwood, InGrano Bakery Annapolis, Dunkirk Wine & Spirits. Some home deliveries available for a fee.
Time: May- early August
16-week full shares (weekly) and half-shares (biweekly) available for the spring CSA. Boxes include a variety of vegetables and herbs.
Grandview Farm – Forest Hill, MD
Pickup locations: home delivery to the Baltimore and Washington D.C. areas
Time: available now, no specific season
Variety of subscription boxes available that include pasture-raised beef, pork, poultry, eggs, dairy, and some vegetables. Available for monthly or biweekly delivery.
Groundworks Farm – Pittsville, MD
Pickup locations: Groundworks Farm in Pittsville; Beth El Hebrew Congregation in Alexandria, VA; Arlington Arts Center in Arlington, VA; Vin 909 Winecafe in Annapolis, MD
Time: June – October. Registration due May 1st.
A variety of boxes available: produce, eggs, meat, cheese. Registration for winter shares is not open yet, but stay up to date here.
Nature’s Garlic Farm – Easton, MD
Pickup locations: home delivery
Time: annual subscription can begin at any time
Calling all garlic lovers! Eight monthly deliveries per year that will include garlic scapes, green garlic, and/or jumbo hardneck bulbs depending on the season. Both full and mini boxes are available.
Open Book Farm – Middletown, MD
Pickup locations: Open Book Farm; Petworth, D.C.; Waterford, VA; Annapolis, MD. Home delivery for a fee.
Time: May – early November
This CSA is a bit different- your subscription opens a balance with the farm, and you can shop any time for anything that they sell. Perfect for those who travel a lot or aren’t sure whether they would consistently use a full box of produce.
Owl’s Nest Farm – Upper Marlboro, MD
Pickup locations: Columbia Heights, D.C.; Brookland, D.C.; Bloomingdale, D.C.; North Brentwood, MD
Time: May 10 – November 15
Main CSA SOLD OUT. 2022 Petworth Market CSA still available. Pay in advance and pick up your share by shopping at the Petworth Community Market. This option is very flexible- show up when you want and take what you want.
